Just a two-hour drive from Denver International Airport, Breckenridge is a place you must visit. All four seasons in Breckenridge are desirable for the best possible experience, no matter when you visit. Of course, the skiing is legendary, but the après ski scene along with incredible cuisine gives Breckenridge its name. If skiing isn’t for you and you prefer the warmer months from May to September fly-fishing in one of their Gold Medal fly-fishing rivers, or grab your bike or doggo and explore the many hiking trails. There is something for everyone in Breck!

If you are willing to go the distance, Aspen will be worth your while. It is one of the most iconic ski towns in Colorado, known for its incredible powder days, four different ski mountains, and upscale vibes. The people of Aspen do a little (lot) more than ski though. The arts and culture scene in the town makes it a popular place for tourists, especially the Aspen Music Festival that usually takes place throughout the month of July. If you want to be outdoors and away from the snow, Aspen offers adventures like white water rafting, mountain biking, and the most incredible hiking paths with beautiful Aspen trees.

If you are looking for the perfect family-friendly vacation, Winter Park has a lot to offer. From relaxed explorer to the adrenaline junkie in the family, Winter Park has an activity for you. Take a Gondola ride to the top of the mountain, rip some of the best mountain bike terrain parks, relax at the Devil’s Thumb Ranch Spa, or enjoy the many scenic panoramic hiking trails.

Finally, Steamboat Springs offers vast adventures in their valley. If you are a water bug, grab a tube or kayak and enjoy a day on the water. Something more relaxed? Hit the Strawberry Park Hot Springs. If adventure is more for you, the mountain biking trails span for miles. If you are interested in exploring an incredible town, the 60 + restaurants and bars, or the multitude of boutiques and shops, are sure to keep you entertained.

Next on the list is Scottsdale, Arizona. We wanted to explore a little luxury, in the desert. The Sonoran Desert is the perfect place to explore the unique outdoors of Arizona, with glamorous resorts to escape back to after an exciting day. Many of these resorts offer golf courses where you can put away under the year-round sunny skies. With chef-driven restaurants and a plethora of activities and attractions, Scottsdale refuses to let you be bored. Pro tip: the hot air ballooning looks magical!

San Diego with its consistently warm and lovely weather is another great destination for an extended weekend or week-long getaway. Visit the world-renowned San Diego Zoo, the Wild Animal Park, Sea World, Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve or Cabrillo National Monument. Take a harbor cruise, visit the USS Midway or the Maritime Museum. Among so many wonderful things San Diego has to offer is the impressive inventory of military ships that can be viewed from Harbor Drive or Seaport Village. So many things to see and do as well as so many options as to where to stay, downtown San Diego, Mission Bay, La Jolla or our very favorite Coronado.

Playa Grande Resort and Grand Spa in Cabo San Lucas is the place to be if you are planning a trip to Mexico. The resort features 8 acres of beachfront perks along the Pacific Ocean. This picture-perfect location is sure to entertain with six featured restaurants on the resort, along with various bars and lounges. After a few days of fun in the sun, you can escape to the ocean-side spa to refresh before heading home. Playa Grande is the perfect place to escape and enjoy.

We just wanted to share some of our favorite places to explore with you. MDN Productions is lucky enough to live in one of the best travel destinations in the United States. We love exploring all the beautiful things our state has to offer, along with appreciating the beauty of other travel destinations. We hope this gets you excited about potential travel in 2020.
