Happy New Year Event Producers! We would like to kick off 2023 with one of our favorite announcements; Pantone’s Color of the Year, Viva Magenta 18-1750
“This year’s Color of the Year is powerful and empowering. It is a new animated red that revels in pure joy, encouraging experimentation and self-expression without restraint, a shade that is manifesting as a stand-out statement” says Leatrice Eisenman
Executive Director, Pantone Color Institute. With the same verve for life and rebellious spirit viva magenta is a color that is audacious, full of wit and inclusive of all.
Speaking of expectations and predictions for the new year, the following are the event trends you might want to anticipate for 2023.
● Events Enter a Year-Round Event Cycle – Typically holding one yearly conference or event, smaller virtual events are becoming more common. Not to say social events will follow suit but we will continue to see the rise of small scale virtual corporate meetings and conferences year-round. This allows for more opportunities for event professionals to work with clients and build relationships that can cycle through every season.
● Professionals Use Events to Help Them Upskill – To keep up with the changes, professionals are upskilling. We have had to adapt to the changes of our everyday life that were brought on by COVID-19. With every social challenge is an opportunity for event professionals to home in on their craft and to show up in a way that is completely authentic for their clients.
● Meaningful Interactions – After having to ask the question “Is this essential?” for almost three years now, we are starting to question how beneficial it is to have four budget meetings a month or why even go to that company fundraiser. We are now in a time where people need meaningful, pleasing experiences to feel something is worth investing in (time, money, resources, etc).
● Networking with a Purpose – Events are very important P.R. tools for any company and because of this we have made experiences the new marketing. Real-time networking provides an opportunity for attendees to experience your company on a personable level. We should be looking at every event as a transformational experience.
