Hello Readers!
In these tumultuous times, we have created resources for you to boost the morale of your employees working from home for the first time. Many people are feeling disconnected as a result of this stay-at-home order. With a lack of routine, it can be hard for people to stay motivated. If you want ideas on virtual options for group collaboration, check out our previous blog post. For today, we want to explore other options to increase the overall high-mindedness of your team members.
Everyone loves a care package! These can be utilized to boost company morale and emphasize the appreciation you have for your employees. Care packages can be tailored to your business, or oriented around the current situation.
What To Include
Gift cards are always a great way to provide a little something extra to your people. This gives employees the opportunity to engage in a little retail therapy when money may be tight. It could be to the grocery store, Amazon, or even a local coffee shop that is still open.
Go Local
Another idea also includes supporting local businesses. A food certificate to a nearby restaurant provides the business with much needed income. It also gives recipients the chance to enjoy a nice meal if the business is still open for delivery. It can also be something employees can look forward to when this is all over.

Increase Productivity
With all of this extra time, we also suggest including something interactive. A puzzle is always great, as it gives people a goal and can be very satisfying to complete. You can also tailor your care package to individual people. For example, if you know they have kids, including Play-Doh or sidewalk chalk can be a great way to encourage family bonding.
In our last blog post, we mentioned virtual happy hour. This is a great opportunity to provide your employees with a bottle of wine or a little cocktail kit as well, so the happy hour can go off without a hitch.
Finally, as a company, it’s always a good idea to include a branded item of some sort. Whether it is a tumbler, coffee mug or even a cookie with your company logo. This reminds the recipient of where the gift came from and that while we may all be physically distant, you as an organization are there to support your staff during these difficult times.
